The 2019 All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) was held in Lagos, Nigeria on Saturday, Burna Boy and several other Nigerian artistes who won different categories were absent but represented by their managers unlike award winners from other regions of Africa who were in attendance.
This year’s show was attended by Nigeria’s Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed.

Wizkid also won song of the year in Africa, with his song ‘Fever’, while Tiwa Savage won Best Female Artiste in Western Africa.
