The ninth edition of the City People Movie awards came with glitz, razzmatazz and emotion from nominees, winners and fans.

The award which held on Sunday at Balmoral event centre, Oregun Ikeja, Lagos, staged a great recognition for veterans and rising stars in the movie industry.

Some of the first time winners at the event were very emotional and grateful for the acknowledgement of their contribution in the entertainment industry.

The publisher of City People Magazine, Seye Kehinde, told CNG that the award was aimed at recognising the contribution of veterans and upcoming stars in the movie industry.

He also said the award was aimed at encouraging the artistes to do more.
