The 7th annual South African Hip HopAwards took place on 19th December 2018. This year’s event is themed Where I’m From, and was held at Gold Reef City in Johannesburg.

Following the announcement of the list of nominees on Monday, 5 November 2018, voting lines for the awards opened on Wednesday, 14 November 2018, and remained opened for a full month, as voting lines closed last week Friday, 14 December 2018.

Pop Bottles: consistent promoter with most impactful and successful Hip Hop events in the past 12 months.

Dj Speedsta: this is for the DJ who contributed immensely to SA Hip Hop in the past 12 months, be it on radio, clubs or sessions
