The
April releases contain much more than just
Thrones, however. In terms of HBO originals,
Wyatt Cenac's Problem Areas Season 2 premieres on April 5. The promising British series Gentleman Jack arrives on April 22.
The HBO Now and HBO Go new releases for April 2019 contain the biggest event in HBO history and arguably the biggest premiere ever for television, itself. That's right: the HBO First Look for
John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum.
OK, obviously the big thing coming to HBO in April 2019 is the final season of Game of Thrones.
Game of Thrones Season 8 premieres on Sunday,
April 14 and the following five Sundays after that will all dominate the pop culture landscape. Get ready to go Thrones crazy.
Then there is the usual host of intriguing movie options. Veronica Mars and Annie Hall both come on April 1. Then throughout the month there is The Nun (April 6), Crazy Rich Asians (April 13), and BlacKkKlansman (April 20).
All in all, April will be a good month for Westerosi and the Unsullied alike.
