HBO has seemingly accidentally released the running times for the final episodes of Game of Thrones, and it appears that those last three episodes of season 8 will be the beasts we've been promised, at feature-length time. This is the current situation, via the official HBO schedule. There are no titles yet, but we're keeping an eye out for you.

Game of Thrones Season 8 begins its final movement on April 14. Brace thyself.

All men must die. This bitter cruelty holds true for celebrated television shows too, like our dear wintertime companion, Game of Thrones. But that is still hard to accept, especially if you've already sworn fealty to HBO's biggest hit and what's possibly television's last water cooler series.

Nevertheless, there are good tidings as well out there in the snow since Game of Thrones Season 8 is only just around the corner and will feature multiple episodes that approach feature length. For context, the only Game of Thrones episode to run that long previously was the season 7 finale, which barely made the cut at 80 minutes flat. So if our watch must come to an end, let it be an utterly spectacular one, worthy of songs and wine. Tyrion would be pleased.

Furthermore, this week revealed 20 new character posters for Game of Thrones Season 8 which harken back to the marketing of the first season, an innocent time when we believed all major characters filmed sitting on the Iron Throne were in it for the long haul.
