Whether after the first season the streamer will cancel a series, if it doesn't drive business as it should, or the network will keep you around for about 5 seasons. It's obvious that Netflix is ready to move on by the end of the 5-year term. Okay, the people behind "Narcos" have found out how to cheat the system, rebooting their show after three seasons and starting fresh with last year's "Narcos: Mexico." Now, with Season 2 around the corner, the ‘Mexico’ spin-off is done introducing its new cast of characters and is ready to get down to the real issues that plague drug cartels — greed, betrayal, and, of course, the authorities. As seen in the first teaser for "Narcos: Mexico" Season 2, Diego Luna stars as the leader of the Guadalajara Cartel, Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo, and one of the driving forces in Mexico's modern drug trade. However, with the full power of the DEA, Gallardo has more issues than just Scoot McNairy's Walt Breslin. Besides this major issue, the character of Luna has to deal with inside deceit, with his own people gunning for him. Being the leader of a cartel is tough, never let anyone tell you otherwise. As mentioned, ‘Narcos’ has done something fresh with its story that hasn’t been seen very often with TV series before. Instead of telling its story over the course of 4 or 5 seasons and then leaving, the folks behind the scenes finished the original ‘Narcos’ story in 3 seasons and decided to move ahead in the timeline and bring in a brand-new cast to tell a new story with very similar themes and setting, effectively turning ‘Narcos’ into an anthology series, but an anthology told over multiple years and not just 12 episodes. And because of that, it always feels fresh and easy for newbies to jump into. It’s pretty genius, honestly. On February 13, Season 2 of "Narcos: Mexico" arrives at Netflix. Here's the synopsis: Félix has to deal with the U.S. and the consequences of his actions against the DEA in the face of his organization's frustration.
