Posted by: Mr. Babatunde« on: April 18, 2018, 12:28:57 AM »In the first trailer from the film that has been touring around various festivals, we meet the FLA (Female Liberation Army), a militant group of queer feminists that are going to a school that teaches them nothing but taking down the patriarchy. That’s when a man in need gets taken back to the school, and he’s hidden, which is strictly against the rules. But honestly, the excitement surrounding the trailer has little to do with the plot. Instead, you’ll be taken by the visuals you see. “The Misandrists” is a no-holds-barred, obviously campy film that doesn’t care what you think. And it’s wonderful. The film comes to you from famous queer filmmaker Bruce LaBruce. “The Misandrists” stars Susanne Sachße, Viva Ruiz, Kembra Pfahler, Caprice Crawford, and Grete Gehrke. “The Misandrists” screened at the Berlin Film Festival, and will have a slow rollout to theaters in the U.S. over the next few months. Here’s the official synopsis: In Ger(wo)many, when an army of radical females is preparing for a final revolution and a utopian world without men, a young male soldier arrives seeking refuge at the convent.
