‘In The Tall Grass’ Trailer: Netflix Brings Stephen King & Joe Hill’s Scary Story To Homes In October.

At this stage, Scary cornfields are a horror movie trope. They have become such a staple of the genre, you can discover "hunted" cornfields and mazes all over the nation every Halloween.

By offering the world your first haunted grass, Netflix, with the assistance of Stephen King and Joe Hill, hopes to alter the entire game. That's right, people don't get lost and frightened in cornfields in the fresh movie "In the Tall Grass." No, it's the grass that gives the frights in this movie.

Yes, the idea of evil grass isn’t the most frightening thing in the world. But thanks to filmmaker Vincenzo Natali, “In the Tall Grass” does look a bit scary. The film follows a group of folks that find themselves wandering into a field where the grass is taller than they are.

While in this field, they begin hearing sounds, lose track of time, and begin getting haunted by evil forces. The premise is based on the story of the same name by authors King and Hill, so you know it has to be a little bit creepy.

The film stars Harrison Gilbertson, Laysla De Oliveira, Avery Whitted, Will Buie Jr., Rachel Wilson, and Patrick Wilson. The film is written and directed by Vincenzo Natali, who is probably best known for his film “Cube,” but has also been working on some major TV series lately, including “Westworld,” “Hannibal,” and “American Gods.” As mentioned, the film is based on the novella by Stephen King and his son Joe Hill.

“In the Tall Grass” hits Netflix just in time for Halloween on October 4.

Here’s the synopsis:

When siblings Becky and Cal hear the cries of a young boy lost within a field of tall grass, they venture in to rescue him, only to become ensnared themselves by a sinister force that quickly disorients and separates them. Cut off from the world and unable to escape the field’s tightening grip, they soon discover that the only thing worse than getting lost is being found. Based on the novella by Stephen King and Joe Hill.
