And the series is set to star Miles Teller and Jenna Malone. However, with a new teaser that we came across, we get a little more of the feel of the series. When we say that we get the “feel” of the series from the teaser, we mean it. Don’t expect anything in the way of plot. The footage is shown in quick-cut clips highlighted by violence, still pictures, and very color lighting. All of this is set to a musical track is that most definitely something from a Refn production. Clearly, the filmmaker has his fingerprints all over this series. Joining Teller and Malone in the cast of the crime series are Billy Baldwin, John Hawkes, and Cristina Rodlo. “Too Old to Die Young” is directed by Refn, and co-written by the director and Ed Brubaker. For those that aren’t complete nerds like me, Brubaker is best known for his award-winning work in the realm of comic books, where he’s written everything from “Captain America” (he created the Winter Soldier) to pulpy noir-influenced crime stories. Recently, however, Brubaker has been part of HBO’s “Westworld” writing staff. No word on an exact release date for “Too Old to Die Young.” All we know is that the 10-episode series is set to premiere sometime in 2019 on Amazon Prime Video. Take a look at the teaser, as well as a ton of pictures from the production below:
