The filmmaking aggregate known as RKSS conveyed an alt-history end of the world with 2015's Turbo Kid, now chiefs François Simard, Anouk Whissell, and Yoann-Karl Whissell are taking us back to the main Summer of '84 for a completely return serial executioner yarn. In front of the film's Sundance make a big appearance, Gunpowder and Sky has appeared the principal trailer and it has an unmistakably commonplace Stranger Things vibe, trickling with Amblin/Stephen King adapted air — also a buncha kids on bicycles — yet remembering Turbo Kid, I'm supposing this retro-spine chiller is going to be somewhat darker and more bent.
Summer of '84 takes after a gathering of youthful adolescents who spend a murky summer transitioning and collecting the pieces of information to find the alleged Cape May Killer threatening their town. There's only one issue — all signs point to one of the youngins' adjacent neighbor, an unassuming cop who may very well harbor astonishing insider facts.
Composed by Matt Leslie and Stephen J. Smith and coordinated by RKSS, Summer of '84 stars Rich Sommer, Tiera Skovbye, Graham Verchere, Judah Lewis, Caleb Emery, and Cory Gruter-Andrew. Watch the main trailer underneath.
