Rocky was arrested in Sweden at the beginning of July and has been jail ever since. The trial took place earlier this week, and Rocky pleaded not guilty and testified that he acted in self-defense.
The Associated Press reports that A$ AP Rocky and two other suspects are being released from Swedish jail. Once a verdict is announced in his attack case, the rapper will be released from custody until 8/14. Prosecutors said they're going to seek a sentence of six months.
The New York TImes reports that the judge did not require Rocky to remain in Sweden with his two co-defendants, Bladimir Corniel and David Rispers. President Donald Trump tweeted that Rocky would be on his manner back to the United States as news broke:
