He revealed in a recent interview with Billboard that, ironically, his last song, True To Self, was his C-game. "A lot of people don't know this, but I didn't want it out until the album even came out. I was in the studio and I felt furious. People were like, 'Oh, I heard you're done with your record. I can't wait to hear that,' and I thought,' Listen. Don't even bother.' Carl Lamarre told him. A lot of people, including me, were disappointed with that record, so it's almost good to hear that. He promises that new music is on the way, but before that, he revisits T R A P S O U L. The album turns five on October 5 and he releases a special deluxe edition of it to commemorate it, as many artists do these days with their releases. His favorite fan songs on the new edition that have not been on digital streaming sites so far are 'Just Another Interlude', 'Self Righteous' and 'Rambo: Last Blood' with The Weeknd. Hear them below in the new, remastered quality. Hopefully, before this awful year is over, we'll get a whole new song.
