The return of Rowdy Rebel since his prison release has certainly been exciting for Hip-Hop fans, especially those who are enthusiastic about New York.
The Brooklyn rapper was released from prison on December 15th after serving more than 6 years, due to an arrest stemming from his 2014 charges related to attempted murder, attempted assault, reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon. Since then, he has teased the release of new music by previewing some snippets on social media and hanging out with some of his friends including Funkmaster Flex, French Montana and others.
The GS9 member is now giving fans the first taste of new music with the song ‘Re Route’, his collaboration with Funk Flex with whom he’s always maintained a good relationship. It’s no surprise that he chose to perform over a Drill beat since that’s the pulse of Brooklyn Hip-Hop right now. ‘Re Route’ is expected to appear on Flex’s forthcoming album, due later this year — listen below.
