Earlier this year, when Trunk Muzik III was released, Yelawolf again became an independent artist after leaving Shady and Interscope. It only took the Alabama-born MC a few months to start releasing music again, eventually confirming the release of his new album Ghetto Cowboy, which had been in the works for years, in 2019.
The LP has no features across its fourteen tracks and Yela feels it's going to talk to all his fans as he blends hip-hop, rock and southern music on it. He found this his project's most gratifying because it's distributed under his own record label, Slumerican.
Below, you can hear the album in its entirety on YouTube before it’s up on streaming services at midnight EST.
