Vanessa Carlton has discharged a front of Elliott Smith's melody "Needle in the Hay." Listen to it underneath by means of Variety. "This is one of my main tunes, period," she said in an announcement. "Elliott was an extraordinary artist and the representations in this verse split me open. This melody is a juxtaposition, on the grounds that the tune is tied in with excruciating pain and the fierce snapshots of a compulsion winding, but it's framed in this automaton y thoughtful way. Such restraint."
The song originally appeared on Smith’s 1995 self-titled album. Carlton’s last album, Liberman, came out in 2015. Last year, to mark its 20th anniversary, Smith’s 1997 album Either/Or was reissued. It was his final solo album before his major label debut.
