The marathon continues. Nipsey Hussle’s legacy will be remembered this Fall, as it was revealed last Thursday (Sept. 26), the popular CW show All American will pay homage to the slain recording artist on the show’s season two premiere this October.
Media mogul Karen Civil broke the news on the upcoming tribute via Instagram. Posting the black -and-white image of Nipsey Hussle with the following caption, “CW All American – Oct 7th “.
Civil, 32, followed the reveal with a secondary post, remembering her late-friend/former business partner with a photo of the two in front of The Marathon Continues sign inside the now-closed Marathon Store, with a heartfelt caption.

You will heal and you will rebuild yourself around the loss you have suffered. You will be whole again but you will never be the same. Nor should you be the same nor would you want to.”
All American is a High School Football drama that follows a promising Football star as he navigates through the two completely different worlds within Los Angeles, California, in hopes of making it to the NFL. Like Nipsey, the show’s star is also from the Crenshaw-area of Los Angeles. The series stars Daniel Erza, Taye Diggs, Bre-Z and Monet Mazur. Based on the life of the professional Football player Spencer Paysinger.

Last month (September), other athletes like LeBron James, Demarcus Cousins and Cleveland Browns’ Christian Kirksey have paid homage to Neighborhood Nip through various wardrobe memorabilia. Since his passing, Nipsey’s streaming numbers have garnered 4,337,426 monthly listeners on Spotify.
A posthumous album is reportedly in the works via All Money In/Atlantic Records.
All American Season 2 premieres Monday, Oct. 7, at 8/7PM only on The CW.
