SZA plans to release a new album before the end of 2024.

On Saturday night, the celebrity singer and Lizzo joined Kai Cenat's "Mafiathon 2" stream and hung out in the house, talking about music, love, and other topics. While there were many amusing moments during the webcast when they also spent time in the kitchen, the most newsworthy was when Kai questioned SZA about new music.

During their time in the kitchen, Kai asked SZA when her new project would be ready, to which she replied, "Before the year is over," and then continued to sip her drink. SZA has been teasing the debut of a new album, but she isn't very good at honoring promises about dates and timetables.

Punch, SZA's manager and TDE executive, warned that something important would be departing from his roster in the remaining weeks of the year. Earlier this month, she confirmed in an interview with British Vogue that both the deluxe version of SOS and her third studio album, Lana, are on its way.
