This year, the one-day celebration praised the tenth commemoration of Tha Carter III. Amid his featuring set, Wayne went through tracks from all his Tha Carter collections. He additionally welcomed numerous visitors to the stage, including Jeezy, Birdman, and Nicki Minaj. Birdman took his minute in front of an audience to authoritatively squashed his continuous hamburger with Wayne. "I needed to apologize," he said before performing. Their fallouts involved multiple lawsuits, shootings, diss tracks, temporary make-ups, and even a possible retirement from Wayne. They recently settled two long-running lawsuits that reportedly frees Wayne to finally release the long-awaited follow up to 2011’s Tha Carter IV. Lil Weezyana Fest also featured performances from Tory Lanez, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, New Orleans rappers like Fila Phil, and many others. In June, Chance the Rapper, Lil Uzi Vert, and more honored Tha Carter III’s 10-year anniversary by recreating its iconic cover. Earlier this year, Wayne released the new mixtape, Dedication 6: Reloaded. He also jumped on Nicki’s Queen track “Rich Sex”.
