Tyler announced his pioneering feat in a star-studded gala; the first Black owned a major studio in Hollywood. Not only the 330-acre lot used to be U.S. Fort McPherson foundation of the army. It is a monument to 12 carefully chosen legends who paved the way for Tyler Perry to rise into the entertainment world's iconic status. In fact, to name a few, he devoted 12 sound stages to stars such as: Sir Sidney Poitier, Halle Berry, Oprah Winfrey, Diahann Carroll, Cicely Tyson, Whoopi Goldberg, and Will Smith. Portions of Marvel and Ryan Coogler‘s ‘Black Panther’ were shot in the Atlanta location and Perry will spend the next decade working with other artists, writers, directors, producers and musicians to make good use of it.
