'Aiyetoro Town' still has a whole fresh plot to accommodate some of the characters of 'Jenifa's Diary' including Timini performed by Tobi Makinde, Waheed performed by Tope Adebayo, Laide performed by Motunrayo Adegboye and Jenifa performed by Funke Akindele-Bello.

Funke Akindele has kicked off ‘Jenifa’s Diary’ spinoff, ‘Aiyetoro town’ and it’s hilarious . Funke Akindele's SceneOne TV released the series ' first episode on its YouTube page on June 21, 2019. SceneOne TV's 313,844 subscribers enjoyed the 30-minute web series that already has three episodes.

'Aiyetoro Town' still has a whole fresh plot to accommodate some of the characters of 'Jenifa's Diary' including Timini performed by Tobi Makinde, Waheed performed by Tope Adebayo, Laide performed by Motunrayo Adegboye and Jenifa performed by Funke Akindele-Bello.

Aiyetoro Town’s plot: Having lived and experienced civilization in Edinburgh, the village of Baale of Aiyetoro, performed by the Femi Branch, embarks on a trip to upgrade Aiyetoro to a town as well as its occupants without changing its traditional culture, customs and traditions. Jenifa's brother's fun and events, his friends, Laide and other youth in the city had to worry about becoming all the Baale and other chiefs.

Aiyetoro Town Episode 1- Upgrade

In this first episode, the Baale of Aiyetoro village is determined to upgrade Aiyetoro. He draws inspiration from having lived in Edinburgh. It doesn’t look like it is going to be an easy feat especially with his traditional people but he is in for it.


Aiyetoro town episode 2 – Task Force

In Aiyetoro town episode 2, the Baale instructs task force to arrest anyone who isn’t speaking English. Adigun and his friends devise a means to make more money. They also appoint themselves as members of the task force. Watch Aiyetoro town episode 2 below.


Aiyetoro Town episode 3 – Home coming

Laide and her friend, Aina begin to make arrangements for the arrival of Jenifa, more like homecoming, lol. While this happens, the fake task force members increase by one.


Laide

Laide, played by Motunrayo Adegboye, first appeared in ‘Jenifa’s Diary’ when she was helped by Jenifa to earn a meager salary as a maid in Lagos. She had just delivered a set of twins and had no means of catering for them, hence, Jenifa’s decision to help her stand on her feet. After a couple of misguided activities, Laide returned to Aiyetoro on the insistence of Jenifa. She has since opened a salon alongside her friend, Yetunde played by Funmi Awelewa, in Aiyetoro Town and remains a rival to Amope.

Adigun

Adigun, played by Ayanfe Adekunle, is the cantankerous friend of Jenifa’s younger brother, Waheed played by Tope Adebayo. He continues in his lazy and silly activities of disturbing the town. He is yet to slow down on his antics.
