The Wildflower starts when Rolake Dabiri (Kuku) applies for a job in a big firm. She has the qualifications for the role, in fact, she is overqualified, but it is a chance to get her feet in the door. Elsewhere, Rolake’s best friend Ada Olisa (Okunzuwa) is stuck in an abusive household.

As Rolake believes she is about to break out of the abusive area of her life, she learns a disturbing truth. Along with Ada they decide they want to take a stand against the abusive men in their lives.

The Wildflower is a drama following a group of women that have suffered from years of abuse. After things go too far, they decide to stand up against the abusers, hoping to help others who haven’t had a voice before.

This is a powerful drama that shows how helpless the victims can become. However, it shows how much power the victims have once people start listening to their stories. This has wonderful performances and shows that the victims should never suffer in silence. We once again get to see Nollywood, showing signs of being able to tell important stories to the world.
