The undefeated American boxer was by far, as expected, the better of the two over 10 absorbing rounds at the T-Mobile Arena. He ensured the mixed martial arts fighter, who was fighting professional boxing for the first time, had no reason to brag after the bout as he secured the win via technical knockout. Mayweather, based on the victory, has surpassed heavyweight legend Rocky Marciano with a perfect record of 50-0. He insisted afterwards he would never be seen in a ring again. “This was my last fight tonight. For sure,” he said. “Tonight was my last fight. Tonight I chose the right dance partner to dance with. “Conor you are a hell of a champion.” Mayweather further said he was not bothered about suggestions that his 50th win would not be regarded in the boxing world. “A win is a win, no matter how you get it,” Mayweather said. “Rocky Marciano is a legend and I look forward to going into the Hall of Fame one day.”
