The Rio 2016 Olympics has entered its second day, and there are a number of Nigerian athletes competing today.
The male table tennis trio of Segun Toriola, Quadri Aruna and Bode Abiodun will be playing in the second round of the table tennis competition by 2pm.
Jonathan Akinyemi will be hoping to make a big splash when he kits up for the Men’s kayak single preliminaries in canoe slalom by 5:30pm.
Rachel Tonjor will also begin her hunt for an Olympic medal, as she participates in the women’s 100m breaststroke heats by 5:51pm.
After putting 5 past Japan, the Nigerian men’s football team will play against Sweden in their second group match by 11:oopm.
The basketball team will also be participating, as they take on Argentina in their opening match by 2:30am on Monday morning.
