Record Olympic sprinter Usain Bolt says he will begin his football career next year after ending his career in athletics in August, 2017.

The Jamaican, 31, who retired after the World Championships in London, won eight Olympic gold medals and had not hid his interest in playing the beautiful game!

According to Bolt, a die-hard Manchester United fan, “a lot” of clubs had reached out to him and is set to start next year.

“Yes, I would love to play football now I’ve retired from track and field,” the 31-year-old Jamaican told FIFA.com.

Aside football, Bolt also loves dancing and music and was nicknamed “Lighting Bolt” due to his name and speed on the track.

He is Catholic, fondly remembered for making the sign of the cross before racing competitively, and wears a Miraculous Medal during his races.
