Design And Display The only good thing about this phone is the price tag. Yes, you read that right. The body is not in any way close to premium or beauty. It’s neither ugly nor a shaky device though. However, the smooth panel looks local with the camera placement and then the LED flash. It also lacks a fingerprint scanner as well which won’t go well for many even novice. The Cubot J5 measures 150.3 mm x 72.0 mm x 9.2 mm in dimensions and weight 173 grams which is not that heavy. It’s available in Black, Twilight, and Blue color shades. On the front, it has a screen display size of 5.5 inches with an IPS display panel. The screen has a resolution of 960 x 480 Pixels with 195 PPI density and 2.5D Curved Glass. The bezels on the top and bottom of the screen is not that thick, it still gives way to 75% screen to body ratio. Camera This is also not a device for photography. However, the 5 MP on the back is better than none. At least the sensor will be able to capture decent photos and also record videos as well. It even promises to shoot 720p video at 30 seconds per frame. The camera is paired with an LED flash for low background shooting. Meanwhile, on the front, there is 2 MP which is for both selfies and video calling. Hardware And Software The Cubot J5 has a MediaTek MT6580 chipset with a Quad-core processor clocking at a speed of 1.3GHz and ARM Mali-400 MP2 for graphics. It has 2GB RAM with an internal storage of 16GB which is still expandable up to 64GB via micro SD card. It runs on the Android 9.0 Pie operating system with the device customized user interface. Battery And Network The Cubot J5 has a non-removable battery capacity of 2,800 mAh without fast charging technology. Considering the screen size, this juicer should be able to last a full day when fully charged. It has dual SIM with 3G network and other regulars such as Bluetooth, FM radio, A-GPS and micro USB for file transfer and charging. Cubot J5 Price And Availability The Cubot J5 is now available for purchase for $51.99. In Nigeria, it’s currently selling for 21,500 Naira on Jumia. In Kenya, it will cost 5,500 KES and 290 GHS in Ghana.
