The Honor 9A no doubt is the same as the Honor 9A Play. Both phones fall under a budget device that is built to attract many at first sight. It comes with a plastic body and plastic frame while the front features to glass.

It’s available in amazing colors shades namely Black, Blue, and Green colors. Honor 9A also comes with a smart PA speaker system that the company claims is loud.

It packs a 6.3-inch waterdrop display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The screen has a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and 278 PPI density. It reaches 81.3% screen-to-body ratio and there is also display protection on the phone as well.

For photos, you will get a triple shooter around the back. The Honor 9A has a 13 MP main shooter with another 5 MP ultrawide sensor and lastly is 2 MP depth sensor.

The camera features LED flash, HDR, panorama and can shoot 2K videos. The front camera on the waterdrop notch is 8 MP and it has HDR support.

[u][b]Hardware and Software[/b][/u]

The Honor 9A comes with MT6765 Helio P35 chipset based on 12 nm process technology.

It has an octa-core processor clocking at a speed of 2.0 GHz with PowerVR GE8320 for graphics needs.

It’s powered by the Android 10 operating system with Magic UI 3.1 user interface but no Google Play Services. The inbuilt storage is 64GB with 3GB RAM which is expandable via micro SD card with a dedicated slot.

[u][b]Battery and Network[/b][/u]

During the launch, the company pays more attention to battery capacity and reverse charging. The Honor’s 9A 5000 mAh battery can reverse and power other devices at 5V1.2A.

This massive battery can last for 35 hours of video playback, 33 hours of 4G talk time, and 37 hours of FM radio playback.

It has dual SIM 4G support, VoLTE, EROFS file system with A-GPS, FM radio, and many more. Users will also be getting some interesting features such as AI face unlock, rear fingerprint sensor, eReader mode, and WeChat and AliPay support.

[u][b]Honor 9A Price and Availability[/b][/u]

The Honor 9A will sell at a price of $127 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant, while the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage model climb up to $169.

In Nigeria, the 9A will start selling at a price of 52,000 Naira, while in Ghana, it will sell for 800 Ghs and 14,000 Ksh in Kenya.
