Review: OnePlus 7T Specs Features and Price

Even though the OnePlus 7 Pro beats it in some ways, the OnePlus 7T is a worthy smartphone, especially if you want an Android Phone at all costs with the latest specs. The Design and Display
The OnePlus 7T was designed with some aesthetics features from its predecessor. It easy to tell this smartphone is different from its predecessor when you view it from the rear,  but taking a look at the front and sides, you might get confused. The smartphone was built with a mixture of glass and metal. There is gorilla glass 5 on the front and rear and metal in the middle holding both panels together.

The front of the smartphone brings back a setup we had on the Oneplus 7. There is a 6.55inch display with a waterdrop notch. This waterdrop notch is home to a selfie camera.



The 6.55-inch display on the OnePlus 7T is a Fluid AMOLED Display with a 90Hz refresh rate, screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a screen density of 402ppi.

Taking a rear view, we are greeted with what appears to be the only aesthetic feature that differentiates the OnePlus 7T from the OnePlus 7.

On the rear, the OnePlus 7 features a big circular camera module, which houses three rear cameras and a camera flash. This circular camera module is very similar to what we had on the Huawei Mate 30 and Huawei Mate 30 Pro You will also find OnePlus Logo branding here.

There isn’t much to choose from when it comes to making color choices. It’s more of a dilemma for those who do not like the color options. The OnePlus 7T comes in Frosted Silver, Glacier Blue.

The Cameras
Cameras on OnePlus smartphones haven’t been the best of the best. Every OnePlus smartphone released has indicated OnePlus’s attempt to manufacture a smartphone with better cameras.

Although the OnePlus 7T may not have what it takes to compete with the best smartphone cameras, it houses features that you are certainly going to love.

The smartphone features an array of three cameras on the rear. These cameras include a 48 megapixels primary camera with an aperture of F/1.6, a 12 megapixels telephoto camera with an aperture of F/2.2 and a 16MP Ultra-wide camera with an aperture of F/2.2.

On default, the cameras mentioned do not utilize their full Mega-Pixel sizes. OnePlus used this same implementation on the OnePlus 7 Pro.

The 48MP primary camera dishes 12MP images instead of 48MP and the 16MP ultra-wide camera also doesn’t utilize its full Mega-Pixel Size.

Reducing the Mega-pixels of the photos shot with the primary camera has helped in producing brighter images, while the reduction in Mega-Pixel of the Ultra-wide camera helps in producing electronically stabilized videos that are not cropped.

These rear cameras let you take photos in HDR, Panorama and lots more. These cameras also let you shoot 4k videos in 30 and 60FPS, 1080p videos in 30/60/240fps and 720p videos with frame rates up to 960fps.

Upfront the OnePlus 7T there is a 16MP wide-angle selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.0. This camera features Auto HDR and also lets you shoot 1080p videos with frame rates up to 30fps. Videos shot with this camera are electronically stabilized.

Hardware and Software
Over the years, OnePlus has been able to build a positive reputation for themselves. Its think OnePlus, think crazy high-end specs at a very affordable price. The OnePlus 7T continues the trend. The smartphone is more of a spec bump when compared to the OnePlus 7.

The handset feature top of the Line Snapdragon 855+ Octa-core processor, with a clock speed varying from 2.96 max to 2.42GHz and 1.78 GHz.

The smartphone features 8GB RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage. Please note that the OnePlus 7T doesn’t support storage expansion via Micro-SD, as it doesn’t feature a Micro-SD slot.

Powering the phone is a Non-removable Li-Po 3800 mAh battery. It also features the Wrap Charge mechanism, which facilitates 30W fast charging.

Connectivity
Please note that the OnePlus 7T doesn’t feature a 3.5mm headphone jack. If you desire to listen to audio content privately, you will have to make use of a USB-C headphone or wireless headphones.

The cell phone features a USB Type C (USB 3.1) port for charging, data transfer and headphones. Also featured on is a Dual-Band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 and NFC.

As for 4G network support, the OnePlus 7T supports Band 3, 7 and 20 and lots more. This means you will be able to use MTN, Airtel and 9Mobile 4G.

OnePlus 7T Price and Availability
The OnePlus 7T price in Nigeria starts around 217,137 Naira, which is around 599 dollars. Comparing the OnePlus 7T to the OnePlus 7 we observe that the OnePlus 7T is 100 dollars less.
