Highlights include a Snapdragon 865 processor, a 65W fast charge mechanism, up to 12 gigs of RAM, and lots more. Realme X50 Pro 5G Key Specs & Features ⇒ 6.44 inch Super AMOLED Display, 1080 x 2400 pixels (409 ppi) ⇒ Android 10; Realme UI 1.0 ⇒ 6GB / 8GB / 12GB RAM ⇒ Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 (7 nm+) Processor ⇒ 128GB / 256GB Built-in Storage ⇒ 64MP + 12MP +8MP +2MP Quad Rear Camera ⇒ 32MP + 8MP Front Camera ⇒ Fingerprint Sensor (Under Display) ⇒ 65W Fast Charge ⇒ 4200mAh Non-Removable Li-Po battery The Design and Display The Realme X50 Pro 5G is host to a chassis design that falls in the neighborhood of what we have seen on previous Realme smartphones. An honorable mention is it’s less premium sibling the earlier released Realme X50 5G. Perusing its design, you get to see some familiar elements. Beginning from its rear panel, you have the same quad rear camera setup stacked in a vertical position. You also get a Realme branding below. Upfront, you get another familiar setup from its less premium sibling. Its front panel is home 6.44-inch Super AMOLED display housing a dual-front facing camera cut out. The setup on the front panel may appear familiar, but its display isn’t the same. The Realme X50 Pro 5G upgrades steps up a notch by featuring an OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, as opposed to the IPS LCD display with a 60Hz refresh rate that we saw on its less premium sibling. A downside to the overall chassis package would be the absence of an official IP rating for dust and water resistance. However, tradeoffs like this become a bit minuscule when you consider its price tag. The Cameras The cameras on the Realme X50 Pro 5G may be unable to take its place in the high-end space, however, the fact that they are upgrades over the less premium Realme X50 5G is undeniable. The Quad Camera setup on this mobile phone is home to a 64MP primary camera, a 12MP telephoto camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP monochrome camera. This camera setup is capable of shooting 4k videos at 30/60fps, 1080p videos at 30/60fps. You also get HDR and Panorama mode for photos. Selfies are manned by dual camera setup which comprises of a 32MP primary camera and an 8MP ultrawide camera. This front camera setup is capable of shooting 1080p videos at 30/120fps. You also get HDR for photos. Hardware and Software As discussed in the Introductory paragraph, the Realme X50 Pro 5G is all about offering flagships specs with a price tag that appears to be one of the cheapest in the bunch. Inside this smartphone is an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor and an Adreno 650 Graphics processing unit. You also get RAM variants ranging from 6GB / 8GB / 12GB. Storage variants include 128GB and 256GB. You also get a non-removable 4200mAh battery Li-Po battery. To make charging faster, Realme included a 65W Super Dart Flash charge, which promises 0-100% in about 35 mins. On the software side, the Realme X50 Pro 5G runs the Realme UI 1.0 interface on top of the Android 10.0 operating system. Connectivity The Realme X50 pro 5G features a USB Type C (2.0) port, dual-band wifi, Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC. Thanks to its 5G support, internet connectivity on the Realme X50 Pro 5G is capped at 5G. Meaning streaming, downloads and uploads can benefit from 5G speeds, as long as there is 5G reception.
