No less than 500 individuals from the Peoples Democratic Party in Lagos on Tuesday abandoned to the All Progressives Congress.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the new contestants to APC finished up their deserting at a detailed service held at the APC secretariat in Ikeja.

The turncoats, from the 57 chambers in the state, were driven by a previous PDP chieftain, Mr. Elijah Awodeyi. They were gotten into their new gathering by the APC director in the state, Mr. Tunde Balogun.

Balogun said that the APC was enchanted to get the new individuals and gatherings joining the gathering. He said their coming implied that they had chosen to join the dynamic prepare and remain with the gathering that remained for advancement.

"We are glad to get these 500 individuals into our overlap. We need to praise them for leaving murkiness for light.

"These individuals host understood that APC is the gathering to be in perspective of the sterling execution of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode in his first term in office.

"We are cheerful at their going along with us indeed and we need them to feel at home," he said.

Awodeyi, while accepting the APC signal from Balogun, said they chose to dump the restriction for the APC as a result of the advance in the state, taking note of that they were empowered by the execution of the representative.

"APC has done well in Lagos. Ambode has done well. We are joining APC since this is the gathering of advance," Awodeyi said.

He guaranteed that he and others would contribute their standard to take the gathering to more prominent statures.

NAN reports that distinctive gatherings inside the APC transparently embraced Ambode for second term at the function.
