President Muhammad Buhari finally talked about Nigerian coronavirus outbreak.
The President had previously been blamed for failing to disclose the disease to Nigerians.
But shortly after the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed Nigeria's 30th disease case, the short address of the president to Nigerians appeared on Twitter.
In a 23-second video posted by his Personal Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, on social media website, President Buhari said he is collaborating with the Ministry of Health to protect Nigerians.
He said, “We are working with [Federal] Ministry of Health (@FMoHNigeria) on protecting our citizens from #COVIDー19, as a government, this is now a key priority for us”. — President @MBuhari on #coronavirus pandemic. #COVID19Nigeria.”
As at 05:28 pm on the 22nd of March, there are 30 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria.Watch video
