Residents reported that a number of militants attacked Dagu village along the border with Adamawa, killing five persons and kidnapping some women. Confirming the incident, Major Bakare Akintoye, the Army Public Relations Officer of the 28 Task Force Battalion in Mubi said only two civilians were killed and that no case of abduction. He noted that the military mobilised to the village during attack, forcing the attackers to flee, adding that the military was co ducting a clearance operation in the area. He added that normal activities had since picked up in the village as military had been in control of security.
