President Muhammadu Buhari and former President Olusegun Obasanjo have met at the ongoing African Union Summit in Addis Ababa, Morocco, five days after Obasanjo condemned Buhari’s administration.

In a special statement on the state of the nation, the elder statesman advised Buhari against seeking re-election in 2019.

Obasanjo believes the current government has been incompetent and nepotistic in its pattern of key federal appointments among other areas he feels the government has failed.
