Controversial Senator Dino Melaye (APC-Kogi West) will on Monday night be presented with the Nigeria Senator of the year 2017 award by the Senate press corps.

According to reports, the award presentation would be held at Sheraton Hotel, Abuja.

The Kogi lawmaker is battling with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to keep his place as Senator. following a recall petition submitted to the commission by his constituents.

However, Melaye has refused to be served the recall register and other materials from the electoral body.
