In the letter titled: ‘Alleged copyright infringement of Akin Fadeyi’s “Not In My Country” anti-corruption campaign by the “Change Begins With Me” project- Mr. Fadeyi’s silence so far and his stance on the issues, he is said to have directed a law firm to commence the preparation of processes in answer to any summons filed against him by the Information minister. Recall that Lai Mohammed had demanded a retraction of libellous publications by a newspaper, Omo Bazuaye and Akin Fadeyi over “Change Begins With Me” campaign within seven days of receipt of the letter or they face legal action . But in the letter signed on behalf of the law firm by Adebayo Adenipekun SAN, Fadeyi drew the attention of the President to the need for issues surrounding the media report to be thoroughly investigated, noting that the matter had been the subject of a heated media exchange over allegations of copyright infringement and counter-allegations of blackmail between some actors and other concerned citizens who were privy to the ‘Not in My Country’ anti-corruption campaign project and the minister.
