Posted by: Miss Ifeoluwa« on: April 05, 2018, 02:09:21 PM »![]() The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Ekiti State has released the notice for the governorship election in the state in accordance with Section 30 of the Electoral Act. The state Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Prof Olayinka Raji, released the election 90-day notice at a press conference on Wednesday. “Open campaign by political parties would commence on April 15, 2018 while the governorship election would hold on July 14, 2018,” he said. He also called on the political parties to submit the lists of their party agents on the stipulated date and warned that any political party that failed to do so would not have party agents for the election. Raji stated that security agencies would continue to monitor those who flout the rules and regulations of the conduct of the election. The REC charged the people who were yet to collect their permanent voter’s cards (PVCs) to do so for the purpose of the governorship election.
