On Thursday, the Senate refused to confirm Magu’s appointment, after the matter was left pending for five months. The lawmakers said it was based on “security reports”. However, Sagay is not bothered about their stance. “Whether they like it or not, he (Magu) will be there,” Sagay told The Interview. “His chairmanship will keep on being renewed. “Since Nuhu Ribadu left, we have not had a man with such sterling qualities as Ibrahim Magu and whether they like it or not, Magu will be there until he completes his term under the law”, he declared.
