Nigeria cannot be big on economy without security — Felix, APC presidential aspirant.

A Presidential aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who doubles as the General Overseer of Miracle Centre International, Dr. Nicholas Felix has emphasised the need to address security challenges in the country, saying it will have a ripple effect on Nigeria’s economic stability.

Felix stated this yesterday, in Lagos, at the official declaration of his intention to contest the country’s number one seat, stating that his desire to salvage the country and rescue it from the trenches for complete reformation informed his ambition.

Felix, who came third in the 2019 presidential election under the platform of Peoples Coalition Party (PCP), expressed optimism that APC would provide the platform for him to fulfill his dreams of presidency and ultimately bring about the desired change the people wanted.

He noted that though the APC ticket is expensive, he is persistent on representing the younger generation in the race and ensuring that Nigerians are given the basic amenities.

He said: “I’m big on security. In America, I have a security company where I have hired over 2,000 people. Security is my main strength. You must understand that there is no great economy without security, any country that is not safe, I don’t care the billion you put in, you will not see it.

“Mexico and Canada border America, yet Mexicans are suffering. Security is number one, when the country is safe, the economy will boom.”

“My decision to run for president of Nigeria stems from my desire to change the Nigerian narrative through the support of the Not-Too-Young-To-Run law, bringing more young professionals home and abroad together to contribute towards the development of our great nation.”

He said though the future of Nigeria may look bleak to some, he sees an over-duly pregnant Nigeria with a predestined child in form of opportunities, that must be properly handled by an experienced nurse or a midwife, else the country bear the pain of losing a destined-child through carelessness in the delivery process, “and that nurse or midwife (president) is my humble self.”

Felix said it was time for the youth to move into the political arena, saying the sole aim shouldn’t be limited to registering only to vote for preferred candidates, but to also become a registered and active member of a political party with voting rights, the opportunity to choose preferred candidates amongst aspirants, over the influence of political godfathers.
