Oba Hammed Adekunle Makama Oyelude, Tegbosun III, the Olowu of Kuta, has asked the media in Osun State to fully support the newly elected governor, Ademola Adeleke.

The King announced this on Sunday, December 11, 2022, when he hosted Osun Online Media Practitioners at his palace in Kuta.

"As Journalists, as agenda setters in the State, I urge you to show your full support to the present administration, not be biased in your news stories, but show the same loyalty and support in order to have balanced state between the government and the Press,” the monarch said.

"The development of Osun should be the most important thing on your mind while writing your reports.”

Speaking on his readiness to support the present government, stating that as a traditional ruler, he is duty-bound to do so

“As a person, I’m pro-establishment. I will support the present Government, with equal might and strength that I have used to support the past administrations. The support and loyalty that I have shown from Rauf Aregbesola’s administration to Adegboyega Oyetola’s tenure, I will use same to support the Adeleke’s administration, so they can succeed in the interest of our State”, he stated.

He also urged every Monarch in the State to show the same support and loyalty, in order for the state to develop in peace and grow in unity.



“Every reasonable monarch must be pro-established in order to have good development in the affairs of the state”, he concluded.

Earlier in his speech, OOMPA Chairman Jare Ismahil Tiamiyu praised the Olowu and called him the most media-friendly ruler.

He also sent the king his congratulations on his most recent promotion to Vice Chairman of the Osun State Council of Traditional Rulers.

According to Insight Media, Kuta Town will have its annual cultural festival on December 24, 2022.
