President Muhammadu Buhari will on Wednesday visit Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, over one week after the killing of scores of Nigerian soldiers by a faction of terror group Boko Haram.
Concise News understands that the commander-in-chief would use his visit to flag off the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) conference which begins today in the northeastern state.
The conference was earlier planned to take place in Benin, the Edo state capital; but it was moved to Borno, according to reports, due to the killings of the soldiers in Metele area of Borno state on 18 November.
