Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has condoned with the chief minister of Fountain of Life Church, Taiwo Odukoya, over the death of his wife, Nomthi.

Nomthi passed on Tuesday after two-year battle with cancer.

Taking to his verified  Facebook page on Thursday, the Governor expressed  his sympathies to Pastor Taiwo, encouraging him to cheer up

Sanwo-Olu said, "on behalf of my wife, Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, and individuals of Lagos, I therefore express my sincere sympathies to Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, his caring family, individuals from the Fountain of Life Bible church and the entire Christian faithful, over the sad demise of Pastor Mrs. Nomthi Odukoya.

"Passing, obviously, is one of the cruel real factors of life that we need to acknowledge, yet nothing sets us up for the demise of a friend or family member.

"I therefore urge pastor  Odukoya to please take heart, cheer up and not lose his mind, as he adapts to this  loss. May God award her everlasting rest. So be it"

Odukoya got married to Nomthi in 2010 after the passing of his first wife, Bimbo, in the 2005 Sosoliso plane accident.

Nomthi, in her 11 years of wedding the pastor, had two children for him: Jomiloju and Timilehin Odukoya.
