Vice President, Sen Kashim Shettima, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar and his Labour Party counterpart, Peter Obi were present at the funeral service of the mother of former President, Umar Musa Yar Adua, on Tuesday, September 3.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas and Governor Umar Dikko Radda, were also among the dignitaries in attendance.

Others were Datti Baba Ahmed, Senator Ahmad Lawal, Former Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Senator Adamu Aleiro, business mogul Dahiru Mangal, emirs of Katsina and Daura, among others.

The funeral prayer of Late Dada Yar’Adua was held in Katsina township stadium, Yar’Adua quarters and was led by Sheikh Aminu Yammawa.

TORI had earlier reported that the Mother of the late President died at the Katsina Teaching Hospital on Monday evening.

Hajiya Dada was the mother of Umaru Musa Yar’adua, who served as President of Nigeria from 2007 until his death in 2010. She was known for her strong character and her influence on her son’s life and career.

Dada was also the mother of late Shehu Musa Yar’adua and Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua, the current Chairman, Senate Committee on Army.
