Olusegun Agbaje, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) of INEC, in Osun State, on wednesday, said he would resign if the court found the electoral body culpable over the credibility of the gubernatorial poll in the state.
He said this in Osogbo, while handing the certificate of return to the winner of the election, Gboyega Isiaka Oyetola.
He said: “I remained neutral throughout the process and if at the end of litigation at the Supreme Court of Nigeria, the commission is found culpable for not discharging its responsibility faithfully and diligently, I will take full responsibility for any such laxity, publicly apologize to all Nigerians and thereafter resign my appointment with the commission.”
