There have been a change in what Hajj used to look like to the coronavirus pandemic.
During the period of Salah, the mega Mosque is always full to the brim as everyone goes to say their prayers at Kaaba in the Mega mosque it took a different turn this year as just few people were allowed in, the luckiest ones I'd say.
The current Situation due to Covid-19It seems very unusual as the Tawaf prayers are being taken with less than 1000 pilgrims in attendance, very small when compared to the normal 2million people present yearly.
Due to covid-19 protocols, they have to ve few in the mosque. , the whole place was disinfected and the prayers begun today.
The ones who got the chance to get into the grand mosque near the ka'bah should consider themselves lucky. They got the opportunity to see the holy Kaaba and would receive the blessings that come with it.
Even though not all could be present, it is still good to see as the mosque looks colourful with people observing social distancing while using face mask.
This year's salah is different as Muslims are not used to not having the Eid prayers before the Salah celebrations commence.
We hope to get a cure for the virus soon so everything can be done with normalcy, Insha Allah.
Happy Eid Kabir.
