Thursday, July 30 and Friday, July 31 have been declared as open holidays to mark the current year's Eid-el-Kabir Celebration by the Federal Government.

This was revealed in an announcement gave on Tuesday by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Georgina Ehuriah.

As per the announcement, the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, saluted Muslim unwavering and all Nigerians both at home and abroad on the event.

"He approached the Muslims to keep on soaking up the spirit of love, peace, kindness and sacrifice, as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace arrive) and to likewise utilize the period to appeal to God for peace, solidarity, thriving and the strength of the nation particularly as the world is seeing worldwide wellbeing challenges brought about by Covid-19 pandemic," the announcement halfway read.

While repeating President Muhammadu Buhari organization's responsibility to doing combating the scourge of COVID-19 pandemic, Aregbesola requested the participation everything being equal.
