Nigerians are grieving the loss of the young Islamic scholar on social media. The motivational speaker, who was born in Niger State, is said to have passed away at the National Hospital in Abuja early on Saturday, June 1, 2024, from an unidentified illness. While confirming the development on his Facebook page, former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami expressed his sadness over the demise of the cleric, who he described as his son. According to him; “Inna lil Laahi wa inna ilaiHi Raajiun! Just heard that our beloved son, Abdullateef Aliyu Maitaki, popularly known as MUFTI YAKS passed away. What a great loss! Janaza by 10am at Justice Maiyaki’s residence Dutsen Kura Gwari, Minnah. May the Almighty Allah admit him into Jannatul Firdaus”.
