Peter Crouch, a former Liverpool striker, has attributed Fulham's second goal on Thursday in their Premier League match to Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

While their new signing Joao Felix received a red card and a three-match suspension in his first game for the Blues, Chelsea went through a difficult evening on Thursday that resulted in a 2-1 defeat.

Kepa was caught in no man's land while attempting to defend Carlo Vinicius' free header from Andreas Pereira's brilliant cross for Fulham's second goal, which was a low point.

Kepa stayed in the middle and was easily beaten, rather than running out to grab the ball or staying on his line to stop Vinicius' header.

"It is a huge mistake made by Kepa. Crouch stated to BT Sports, "It is a difficult header for Vinicius if he stays on his line, but he has given him an open goal."

"Even if Kepa decides to come out, you have to come all the way," he said.
