 However, only 10,000 policemen to be recruited into the nation’s police force A staggering amount of 843,008 Nigerians send their application letters to the Police Service Commission (PSC) by 1pm on Monday, May 2. Meanwhile, the commission is yet to select 500 cadet ASP, 500 cadet inspectors, 1,500 specialist officers and 7, 500 constables in accordance with the 10,000 policemen recruitment program.
 The recruitment is expected to strengthen the police personnel to tackle more security challenges. The exercise would close next Friday, on May 13.
