The victims, according to reports, were personnel of the Federal Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki (FETHA). It was also learned that a medical student and a nurse were hospitalised for reportedly contacting the dread disease, the Sun reports. They were said to be receiving treatment with poor prognostic indices. When contacted on the telephone, the Chairman, Nigeria Medical Association in the state, Dr. Austin Ikwudimma, confirmed the outbreak of the disease.
