2024 Isese Day Celebration: Governor Adeleke reaffirms promotion of culture, tourism .
Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has again reaffirmed his administration's resolve not to undermine the promotion of Yoruba culture and tourism, saying that he loves all religions as Nigeria's constitution gives right to every individual to practice any religion of ones choice.
The Governor stated this in Osogbo at the 2024 Isese Day celebration.
Represented by the Commissioner for Home Affairs, Honourable Aderibigbe Albud-Rasheed, Governor Adeleke explained that he has been very fair with all religions without bias or favouritism, adding that the mandatory wearing of locally made fabrics, "Adire cloth" on every Wednesday of the week by all workers in Osun was born out of his love for culture and traditions.
To buttress his position, the Governor mentioned how he bought the idea of appointing a Special Adviser on Traditional Matters in the state in person of Prince Alex Kehinde Oloke.
The state helmsman, while urging traditionalists to intensify prayers for the growth of the state and success of his administration, also called for unfettered peace among practitioners of all regions across the state,.

In his Royal speech, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, who spoke through Oba Adekunle Adebowale, Agboluaje of Agbaje-Ife, thanked Osun government for recognizing Isese, emphasising that there was trust in the olden days when foreign religions have not surfaced, which evolution, according to him, has almost wiped off Yoruba culture and traditions.
He then advised all and sundry to handle Yoruba tradition with all seriousness, adding that there should be researches and a special committee on Yoruba traditions to make it real and acceptable to the people.
While speaking, the President of TWARSO, Dr. Oluseyi Atanda, who gave kudos to Governor Adeleke for his support, appealed to him to make good his promise to complete the TWARSO building under construction.
