The woman who gave birth to a set of quadruplets in Shendam Local Government Area of Plateau State, Sunday, has appealed to the state government, well-meaning individuals and groups to assist the children. The 25-year-old woman, who resides at Dulory, is a seamstress and her husband is a subsistence farmer. In her first pregnancy, she delivered a set of twins about two years ago. The husband, 37-year-old Sati Mairiga, also appealed for help, saying he is not buoyant enough to take care of the kids especially as he has lost his means of livelihood after being chased out of a farming community in Wase Local Government Area by insecurity. He said: “I am a farmer, we were staying in Wase but the recent insecurity forced us to relocate to Shendam, the bandits chased us out after I invested about N300,000 in the farm. “We came here, see what God has given us, we are happy but we don’t have much. The little we had, we left everything when we were running away from insecurity in Wase. “I want the government to help us. We have been married for three years now, and the economic situation is affecting us. We need all the help to cater for these gifts from God.”
